What makes a computer slow- On an average there is no single reason that makes a computer slow. Slowness is a synonym for poor performance of any PC. Most of the time a PC can be slow due to an infection in the PC, any hardware related fault, any driver related issue or if there is some problems with registry entries. Not enough hard disk space- If there is very less space is left in your PC, this will create the performance or slow computer issue. Memory space is very important for running the application smoothly and without any hassle. Corrupted data always cause slow computer issue. It interrupts PC’s normal process and procedure on various levels and reduces the processing capacity of the system.
Missing Windows updates / outdated drivers- Microsoft strongly suggests about the updates it releases regularly. Many updates that are very critical for the system are of great use and very essential in order to protect the system from various threats. Virus infection is one of them. In absence of proper updates a PC is more vulnerable towards a virus infection. Many PC users do not pay much heed towards regular updates for windows.
Bad Hardware- hardware can also reduce your PC’s performance to any extent. Also the hardware issue is an exceptional among all the existing and above mentioned points. We only need to replace the hardware if any hardware part goes bad.
Computer is overheating- If your computer is over heated it will certainly create performance issue. Check your PC or laptop if it is heating more than expectations? If this is the case with you; I recommend to get it checked it may cause due to over clocking or perhaps fan inside is not working properly.
Corrupt OS- Another strong cause can be if the entire system or OS is corrupted. This may happen due to while installing or uninstalling the application programs or attaching any hardware etc. Virus is also one of the most important causes behind corrupting an operating system. You may repair the windows with the help of windows original installation setup.
